About the Image(s)

Well, I finally got outside this weekend. Our camera club had a get-together. After we finished eating, and everyone was going home, I went around the park to shoot a few IR images. I saw this little gazebo just before I was out of the park.
I didn't do a lot of editing, I kind of liked the colors out of the camera. Went into Photoshop, clone out a few distractions. Did my basic sharpening and contrast. Shot with my Nikon IR D5100, at ISO 100 1/1000 sec, f/5.6 at 44mm on the kit lens.

What a tranquil scene. Makes one want to spend the day sitting there watching the clouds drift by.
I would suggest cloning out the out of focus shadow in the right foreground and then apply a bit of vignette along the bottom to concentrate interest on the gazebo and clouds.   Posted: 06/08/2021 11:54:04

Dont these Gazebos make for interesting scenes. I particularly like the way you have framed it with the large overhanging branch from the left hand tree and the righthand foliage. Very pretty and totally uncluttered.   Posted: 06/09/2021 06:49:35

What a perfect spot this would be to sit an think! I have learned to love solitude in the last year and a half so for me this is an appealing scene. I agree with Helen about the shadow. For me, the sudues suggestion of color works well.   Posted: 06/11/2021 11:10:11

This is so pretty! Well done on cloning out little bits and get rid of the bit in the corner and this will be perfection! Looks like a pleasant place to spend time!   Posted: 06/14/2021 11:28:47

I do like your sparing use of colors in this image as the strength of this scene is the gazebo so the off color of the sky doesn't bother me plus there isn't that much sky to look at. The two colors used in the gazebo are soft and subdued. It is a very tranquil scene and I like it very much. My only suggestion is to clone out the shadow in the lower right corner.   Posted: 06/15/2021 19:22:20

This is a lovely image. I like the way you've framed the gazebo under the branches. You've also done a great job of removing the distracting elements. The blue roof of the gazebo and the colour of the sky enhance the scene. I agree that the shadow in the right hand bottom corner should be removed.   Posted: 06/16/2021 04:45:36
