About the Image(s)

This was taken on the PSA Spokane Conference trip to the Palouse. It was shot at 1/1250 and f8 with the zoom lens set at 42mm with my converted Nikon D50 camera. Very little was done after converting the original to b/w in Photoshop. After severely cropping both top and bottom Levels was used to increase the contrast throughout.

A lovely pano shot very delicately printed. Like how this little settlement with interesting shaped buildings, lies nestling in the rolling hills. Perhaps an inch off the left side would help as there is nothing of interest there. Great little image.   Posted: 05/09/2021 01:54:56

For me it is the lovely barns that are the most interesting aspect of this image. If you have enough pixels I would be inclined to crop the image immediately to the left of the barns making them the main focus of attention. I think this would simplify it and thus make a stronger picture.   Posted: 05/14/2021 14:11:36

Lovely scene and I like the processing you have done. I agree with the suggestion of cropping it. Would love a more intimate look at the homestead, it has a sweet charm.   Posted: 05/14/2021 16:45:04

To me this is a lovely pastoral scene, and typifies the region. It appears that you have good tonal range in this image and as far as I can tell, given the size of the image, it is well focused. I am a tiny bit bothered by the horizon being so close to center and I agree with the others that a crop on the left would be helpful.   Posted: 05/16/2021 12:51:54

Very nice image, I think I would have left a little more sky, where the dark part is. Maybe darken the front so your eye leads more into the image.   Posted: 05/20/2021 15:32:52
