About the Image(s)

I came across ths old Mobile staton on one of my back road jaunts last fall and couldn't resist making a picture. Processing it turned out to be more difficult than I thought it would be, and it went through several iterations before I got this rendition which I am reasonably happy with. However, there is an exhibiton coming up soon that has a monochrime theme "Olden Times" which I would like to enter, so any help you all can give me will be appreciated.
This is a three image HDR made in NIK. Settings were ISP 500; f/16.
After making the HDR I had to dehaze and de-noise (the latter done in Topaz AI). In CLir all I ended up doing was a simple swap, although I tried many different treatments and found nothing I liked. I had to straighten it up using LR Guided Upright but that caused me to have to add a bit of canvas at the bottom. The monocrhome was done in Silver EFex Pro using the More Silver filter. That provded good tonal range so all I had to do to finish up ws add the border.

I love these old buildings, but the problem is that in these day and age they are demolished so quickly. You have done well to find this. The quality of this is superb, everything sharp and detailed showing interest in different parts of the image which you could scan for ages seeing things of interest i.e. What are the marks on the Mobile sign, Is the paintwork eating away. Is that an original CCTV (?} appliance on the roof on the right etc., etc., As for improvements I feel the sky area immediately above the sign needs toning down a bit
and also perhaps the top righthand corner. Perhaps you could try a sepia filter to see what the difference. Perhaps that would make it look more aged. All in all a great image with good prospects. Good luck.   Posted: 05/09/2021 02:26:53

I think you are correct about the sky. In other versions I tried to replace the sky or crop it down, but wasn't happy with either choice. I may have to make a mask and play with exposure, contrast and maybe blur it some. Yes, tha that rust on the sign at the top. Thanks for your suggestions.   Posted: 05/09/2021 11:57:47
