About the Image(s)

The image this month is comprised of an old car found in Georgia, USA and our dog taking some driving practice. Original 2 is an edited file rather than the original unedited file.

1-The cracked glass was added to the front windshield of the car using a png file downloaded from the internet.
2-Our dog, Annie was edited from original 1 and added in the driver's seat of the car.
3-A texture was added to the front windshield to lighten the windshield and decrease the intensity of the image seen from the background outside the car.
4-Nik-pro contrast and tonal contrast-softening
5-Three Hazel Meredith textures were added: marble, opacity 34% in soft light, watercolor 27%, soft light, dark sea 100% ,soft light.
6-Studio 2, Simply Soft @49% opacity
7-Nik: darken lighten, silver reflector
8-puppet warp to wrap paw around steering wheel
9-adjustments to eye position with transform and brightening eye, flip image and stroke
10- paws were added using paw from another file

A charmingly fun image Candy! I like the crack in the windshield you added; it helped to disguise the other things seen outside the window. You did a great job of getting your pup into a good pose, and then pasting in and warping the paws to appear to be holding the steering wheel. The antique color pallet goes well with the old car. Your dog's color is so beautiful in the original, so I might have kept that rather than the green cast in the final. And you know me -- I always look for shadows in composites -- I feel like one is needed under the pup's left paw to ground it to the steering wheel so it doesn't look pasted on. This image makes me smile and I want to go along for this wild ride. Nicely processed!   Posted: 08/09/2022 16:13:12

You've created an excellent, fun image here. I agree with Jan about the shadows - I'd have done this before adding the textures, so it blends in better.
The cracked windscreen is a good addition.
A superb composition!   Posted: 08/10/2022 15:36:09

WOW - what a great composite - really well executed. Like everything about it. Well thought-out and processed. Like the antique cast of the whole picture, including Annie. Would not change a thing. Congrats.   Posted: 08/11/2022 10:22:09
