About the Image(s)
The image this month is a castle from the UK with a Florida gator guarding the premises.
The original image was taken in the late afternoon. The entire image was darkened to represent a later time in the day. This castle was modernized, so it needed to be changed to represent an older castle. The modern windows were changed by adding iron bars from a penitentiary and darkening them. And the guard railing at the top of the castle was removed. Next the flood filter was added to represent the castle with a lake in front. It took quite a few tries to have the castle anchored on the grassy hill with the lake in front. Next the gator was added to guard the castle. A vignetted texture was added to pull the image together. The gator eye was increased in size, since this isn't real-gator eyes are very small. The eye was color edited to create a glow in the darkness. The only thing you see at night of a gator is its glowing eyes.

Like Jan, I like the eye treatment.
Broadway Tower is an interesting place - built as a folly in 18th century - I don't think it's been significantly modernised, but it's got some interesting additions (like the nuclear shelter!) From the top, on a clear day you can see 16 counties - it's also got an excellent tea room!   Posted: 05/15/2022 16:33:31
