About the Image(s)

I've been playing with my crystal ball. Started with the flowers, for no particular reason. Then thought about what I might do with them. I decided on turning them onto a bunch of flowers in a vase. So, I took lots of my own hand holding the crystal ball, so that I could position the flowers within the hand using the arm as a stem. The flowers and the hands were taken with my mobile phone. The vase was one I had taken previously with suitable amounts of negative space to build within. Each hand was added as a layer, and the flower ball positioned in the hand. Liquify was used to thin down and lengthen the arm to look like a stalk, and each one positioned within the arrangement. Initially I had a fifth flower on the table, but later decided to replace it with an eye positioned to be looking at the flowers in the vase. Lastly I painted the edge of the vase and the meniscus of the water back over the stalks.

OMG: That is a wonderful idea. I wish I had thought of it. Thanks. Originally I did it with a flower in the ball on the table. I think I should go back to the flower, instead of the eye.   Posted: 09/05/2021 23:40:28

Great fun and creativity here Fran! You did an excellent job of combining all the elements. Brian's idea is cool, but I think I agree with you that the "fallen" element should be a flower rather than an eye. My only nitpick would be that the hand with the pink flower is a bit too dark compared to the others. You have a very creative mind and I like the quirky ideas you come up with for a wide range of images. Well done!   Posted: 09/06/2021 14:54:58

I love this! You've worked it so well. A lot of work but well executed. It was well conceived and the individual elements have been well captured and processed. Excellent!
I like Brian's idea too.   Posted: 09/10/2021 17:18:19

Nice job. You positioned the flowers and hands well, and used liquify to perfectly create the "stem" for each flower.   Posted: 09/12/2021 13:43:15
