About the Image(s)
This month’s image is a silly fantasy in honor of Halloween in the U.S. The background image (Original 1) and the Alice in Wonderland chess piece (Original 3) were both taken during a trip up the California coast a few years ago. I can’t remember where I took the lizard shot. I cropped the background slightly on the right and then placed the lizard to appear as though emerging from the water as a giant threat to this unlucky Kingdom. Next, I created a shadow of him on the rocks to correspond with the tree shadow. The poor, unfortunate guard who lost the coin toss to slay the beast stands in fear of his life, but has lots of ⬓heart⬠as you can tell. They seem to be eyeing each other in an uneasy standoff at this moment and I chose to spare you, dear viewers, from the bloody horror scene that ensued. I used my usual Poster Edges and Oil Paint in PS to make all the elements have a similar look. Lastly, I used an On1 ⬓Vintage⬠filter to give it an old patina and a vignette to tone down the bright edges. Just something silly for a bit of a chuckle.
