Pink skies by Francois Venter

November 2023 - Pink skies

About the Image(s)

Photograph of Table bay with Table Mountain the background. It was a sunset when the sky just exploded. It was shot of a tripod. Exposure 4 seconds at F16 with a Nikon Z7_2. I used a 3 stop soft graduated filter as well as a 3 stop solid neutral density filter on the camera as well. Editing mainly done in Lightroom with slight touch ups in Photoshop

Nice shot. I like the way the sky seems to reflect the movement and texture of the water. And the sunlight illuminates the horizon quite nicely.   Posted: 11/10/2023 23:23:50

Another masterful image. I love how the clouds seem to be emanating from the mountain in the distance.   Posted: 11/14/2023 00:30:11

As we approached to lost island that appeared on the horizon our hearts raced with anticipation. Well that is the feeling you get from this image. Just has that feeling of a secret island that may be full of treasure or dinosaurs or both. You control of the water adds to the feeling and colour and tones all help. Where is that movie producer when you need one. Love it.   Posted: 11/14/2023 12:31:46

Thanks for your kind comments. It was a very special capture as the kind of light do not often happen   Posted: 11/14/2023 14:27:19

I don't want to wake up from this dreamlike capture Francois. Love the color tones and water movement that provide a peaceful calmness. The distant mountains really add to the overall mystery and beauty.   Posted: 11/16/2023 00:19:16
