Stacked rocks by Francois Venter

May 2022 - Stacked rocks

About the Image(s)

During a trip to Scotland I stopped at a random place seeing the mountains and the lake. Upon walking down to the water found the rocks etched that made an interesting foreground.

An impressive image, which shows well the rough and wild nature of this area. I like the division of the contrasting rocks in the foreground, the lakeshore and the mountains in the background and the dynamic clouds. I find the image very pleasing.   Posted: 05/05/2022 08:14:19

Texture of rock in foreground, mountain in the back, combine with the soft of cloud create a nice contrast. Good shot.   Posted: 05/06/2022 21:08:11

That's a fantastic photo! The sharp details, the interesting arrangement of rocks and the dark, brooding sky are phenomenal.   Posted: 05/11/2022 22:09:43

I like the Marnyi Stone, the snow mountain, and the dark clouds. And it's interesting you made both the foreground and background clear. However, it's difficult to read depth, or distance between the stones and the mountain, making the foreground stones a little bit weird. Anyway, it's a good shot with wonderful scenery.   Posted: 05/15/2022 14:19:39

I hear on the war drums that the Highland chiefs are rising the clans as some foreign invader is calling their lovely waters a lake. There Loch's. Many a dram will be drunk around a table arguing what to do. lol
I don't recognize the Lock but it looks more of the northern ones if you go by the rock. The view is wonderful and that sky is a dream and makes the image. Spot on detail and colour. Just love it. Beautiful image.   Posted: 05/16/2022 04:46:39
