Hinton Ampner Back Garden

Samsung A52 “ Focal Length 1.74mm Panorama.

Well, the title is a little lie, this is the front garden and the second tier of four to this house with extensive formal and informal gardens to the right and left of me. The other side of the house is more working and has the loveliest walled garden and set of green houses that I could not get into.

The house was built in around 1540’s and has been owned by many families till the Dutton’s came in Georgian times and in one way or another owned it till in 1960’s a devastating fire destroyed most of the interior and the fabulous collection of books and paintings. With the help of the National Trust the house interior was rebuilt to its original state and replacement for the treasures were sort and on the owner’s death the property was left to the National Trust.

The Gardens are spectacular and would be wonderful to visit three or four times a year to get the different views, but I was disappointed by the interior as to many disappointing paintings were placed on the walls and the books were not that great, so it just did not feel right. But worth a visit.

Lightroom adjustments and cropped in PS. I am stunned how good the phone has got in its abilities, check my entry in group 39 for interior shot of Salisbury Cathedral. Not quite at camera level yet but is getting there.

Hi Paul. This is a crazy good pano shot. That phone deliver insane images. I love your composition and colours. `The pano is kust wide enough. If you went any further then it would have looked awkward. As a scape I would say just be careful of the building leaning back. But that is a small not in this pic   Posted: 10/07/2021 12:55:06

Nice image with good color and composition. Regardless the tools only experience photographer that understand on how to create dynamic composition like this. You successfully create a good perspective in your image.   Posted: 10/08/2021 20:41:48

Very beautiful scenery which very worths the 1.74mm Panorama.
It seems the spot you took the picture was at the right side of the central axis. Was that intensive? I guess this angle should be more lively than the symmetric one.   Posted: 10/08/2021 21:38:15

Beautiful range of tones. Would like to have something in the center lawn. Feels a bit empty there.   Posted: 10/09/2021 11:14:14

Wonderful scene. The flowers add beautiful color and the topiary adds a nice whimsical touch. I'd suggest cropping out the brick border on the left side of the photo, as it's somewhat distracting; but other that, this is a great photo.   Posted: 10/09/2021 17:34:14

A nice picture with a good composition, successful colors and the appropriate panoramic format. I am a little irritated by the building, which is not quite horizontal and gives the impression of being somewhat reclined.   Posted: 10/12/2021 04:08:44
