About the Image(s)

A group of us went to a nearby park and photographed giant bubbles. It was late afternoon and the sky was pleasant with some puffy clouds. Although this bubble isn't ready for MOMA, I had fun taking the image and liked the bubble's transparency. What does everyone think?

This is very odd because where the rainbow colours appear -for eg on the bottom right edge - it has translated into lines as if the bubble has solidity. I'm not sure whether it should be in mono but maybe this is an image which could be used as a starting point for an experimental picture. When I studied it some more, it does have solidity all over -it looks a bit like a knobbly potato sailing through the air!   Posted: 08/07/2022 09:42:59

Ha! It does look like a potato. I thought it might be interesting to use in a composite at some point. It was so odd in mono that I felt compelled to send it in for comment.   Posted: 08/07/2022 16:41:41

In monochrome, the bubble looses the tell-tale rainbow colors that make it clear this is a bubble, although there is still a bit of surface texture variation to hint at the bubble surface.
This is a tremendously original and creative shot. To me, it looks a bit like the shape of a human brain, and therefore is somewhat metaphorical.   Posted: 08/07/2022 17:21:16

It looks like an xray or a scan of a body part in black and white. The color works better with the rainbows and sky.   Posted: 08/15/2022 17:48:28

I meant to ask, what does MOMA stand for?   Posted: 08/16/2022 03:56:45

MoMA is The Museum of Modern Art on West 53rd in Manhattan NY. My bubble would be much too cliche...   Posted: 08/16/2022 16:44:46

I can't really tell what the monochrome is, but the color shows that it is a bubble. It must have been a fun outing to take this image.   Posted: 08/16/2022 10:43:29

I think the color version is the better of the two (because I can tell what it is.)
And, pls accept my apology for being so tardy this month.   Posted: 08/16/2022 17:18:07
