About the Image(s)
Taken this August in the Katmai Wilderness in Alaska. In August the pink salmon are coming up the river to spawn. The Brown Bears (Grizzly) are there to intercept them. On a 10 day photo tour and we choose one afternoon change the settings in the camera to B&W for the rest of the day. Interesting impact was that increased my awareness of tonality and I was inclined to expose more to the right.

Hi Nik
I am hoping you were on 600mm and not 200mm.
You captured the action superbly, movement and power are so evident the catch clearly visible brilliant nature image beautifully presented.   Posted: 11/11/2023 08:15:58

Nick - a top class capture - right at the height of the action. Well processed as usual, but I wonder if a little shadow relief around the eye and jaw would enhance the image?   Posted: 11/13/2023 04:33:26
Good suggestion thank you   Posted: 11/13/2023 10:49:28
Nick,
I love the image and the action you captured. Might suggest you lighten and perhaps bulge the eye of the bear. Looks like your focal length was 200 mm. That is really too close for my comfort level. Hope to see more from this series. Susan   Posted: 11/13/2023 18:35:44
