About the Image(s)

Camera was a Canon EOS R5, 24-240 mm lens. Three images were combined in Photomatrix to form an HDR image. Nik Color Effect Pro is used for enhancing detail and modifying color tones. An interesting image with the fence providing an arresting leading line. The top of the hillside has a distinct halo that was probably caused by the detail extractor I think you used in CEP. If you have the motivation, I would look to clone out some of the power/telephone lines.   Posted: 11/08/2023 17:56:53

Hi Nick: My first impression was: WOW what a great leading line. You cannot miss what the subject of your image is...As I took a second look, the sky takes 2/3 of the image which made me question my first impression of the house and fence being the subjects. Your image is tack sharp and beautifully exposed. If this were my image, I might consider a different crop, perhaps a 16 x 9 (?) and if necessary, move the clouds down so they remain in the image. OR, possibly adding a slight vignette???   Posted: 11/10/2023 06:24:12

Thanks Ella. I agree. Will try a version with your suggestions.   Posted: 11/29/2023 13:45:17

Ed - a really strong leading line with the fence - so strong that I would consider flipping the image horizontally so that it reads in the Western way - L to R
Ella's suggestion of a 16x9 crop works well - for me at least!   Posted: 11/13/2023 04:42:44

Ed,
I agree with the suggestions of both Ella and Peter. I wound not have thought to move the fence but it is does make a very positive image. Susan   Posted: 11/13/2023 18:39:41

Hi Ed
Really good contrasty conversion, leading line is as good as it gets Peters suggestion of the flip makes it even stronger.
I like Ellas idea of the crop as I think you could afford to lose a little of the sky.
Really well seen and processed a powerful image.   Posted: 11/14/2023 15:57:42

Ed, a very interesting image.
I would be inclined to leave it as it is.   Posted: 11/16/2023 01:46:23
