About the Image(s)

As they say… All things seem possible in the month of May. This image is a result of an experiment with lighting. I wanted to see if I could light a glass or two with only one strobe… and, here is the result! The image, to my eye, looks like I used two strobes… but in reality (and honestly) I only used one. A FF camera used with 24-105 lens @ 35mm, F8, 1/200, ISO 200… and one speed lite! I tried the composition with only the glasses and thought it needed a bit more for interest… and, voi la! Month of May, thank you … all things may be possible after all!

Ella, I have become accustomed to your wonderful still life images but this one is, for me, the pick of the bunch.
This is simply a wonderful image.   Posted: 05/17/2023 07:29:40

Ella, Another example of your skill at still life and your ability to create interesting compositions. The highlight of the image is the brilliant reflection and I would like to see more of it.   Posted: 05/18/2023 14:07:29

Ella,
I tried using lights a while back but I did not adapt to using them in my work. Your images make me realize I am missing out on a way to really enhance the quality of my work.
Thank you for experimenting in May. Susan   Posted: 05/23/2023 16:52:15

Ella, another interesting and wonderful still life. The string of pearls? beads? really make the image. Impressive treatment of the glass, beautifully lighted. Impressive processing overall.   Posted: 05/24/2023 13:34:53
