About the Image(s)

It was made inside an old lighthouse in St. Agustine, Florida. : Canon EOS 1Ds Mark III, 24-70mm lens at 32mm, auto exposure. I used Nik CEP detail enhance. Darkened the window in the lower portion of the image. Converted to B&W with Silver Effect 3. Sharpened with a high pass filter. Applied Topaz Denoise AI. Finished with a 5-pixel gray stroke.

Ed, an very interesting subject.
Well photographed and processed.
I do wonder if the window towards the bottom and the structure at the top are not helping the effect. But what could be done?
I will be interested to read what the other members have to say!

Hello Ed.....I do like the subject and technically I think you have the image sharp with balanced curves. While you are in CEP, try out the Tonal Contrast filter as it may add some more texture. From a composition perspective, this is a tough subject to photograph. I played with cropping the window and that did not work and it may have been better to have included a little bit more of it avoid the appearance of an accidental crop   Posted: 08/04/2022 19:48:45
