Rocks and water! Great!
This is a genre that I cannot resist and one which has brought me much success.
The image works for me as it is but I reckon there is another image to be extracted from this scene. I would consider cropping seriously to concentrate on the nearest rock, which is quite interesting.....   Posted: 11/15/2021 07:16:45

John I considered two different crops, one without the bank and the other closer on the foreground rock. Just couldn't decide. Thanks for the suggestion.   Posted: 11/15/2021 09:21:01

Ed - love the image and the way you have captured the movement in the water particularly around the foreground rock.
I find the image to be a little flat and boosting the contrast a little and darkening down the far bank a little would enhance it.   Posted: 11/15/2021 08:42:59

HI Ed: To my eye, I believe you nailed the shutter speed for this composition. If this were my image, I might consider a threshold or curves adjustment as your image appears a bit flat.   Posted: 11/17/2021 11:28:24

Thanks Ella. I will try some contrast enhancement that both you and Peter suggest.   Posted: 11/18/2021 12:46:42

Well exposed image Ed. I agree with John about cropping out the far bank. For me personally, the foliage of the far bank appears flat but the river with the flowing water and static rock have the correct amount of contrast and reveals more depth of field.   Posted: 11/20/2021 11:10:41

Hi Ed, I really like your image. I think as well cropping the far bank my enhance its?   Posted: 11/24/2021 14:32:41
