Interesting image Ella. Reminds me of the moi on Easter Island. Is this somewhere along the coast of Chili where Thor Hyerdahl landed with Kon Tiki? Well exposed and good composition with the statues looking across the image.   Posted: 10/06/2021 11:33:56

Ella - are these the same statues that were somewhat invisible in an earlier image you posted? A strong composition in which the detail in the backlit statues has been well rendered. I like the foreground lupines, but would have preferred to see more of them. For me the sky is a little washed out and could be darkened, not so much as to lose the separation of the statues against the sky.   Posted: 10/07/2021 04:50:11

Hello Ella. A interesting image. I like the foreground flowers, but I may have toned them down a bit since my eye wants to keep going to the flowers rather than the statues.
was there a fill flash used? the lighting on the statues is a bit unusual for me since the shadows indicate the sun was behind them. Interesting image.   Posted: 10/11/2021 21:05:03

I think having a dark subject as the focus in any picture is particularly challenging, but you did an excellent job of it. Nevertheless, I find the high contrast, foreground flowers an interesting element but distracting.   Posted: 10/14/2021 10:40:30
