An interesting subject well seen and captured.
It is intriguing that all the vehicles seem to much the same type.
The effect of your processing helps greatly to tell the story.   Posted: 07/09/2021 01:32:13

Hi Ed: I love old cars and you've captured a bunch! Great clouds to boot! To my eye, you image appears a bit flat and think your image might benefit from a levels or curves adjustment.   Posted: 07/09/2021 16:14:46

Thanks Ella. I'll play with in levels and see what I come up with.   Posted: 07/11/2021 15:04:16

Ed - I too like to photograph abandoned cars in the landscape and you have nailed the composition here.
Not sure re. Ella's suggestion to play around with contrast and rather than blurring the sky I think I would have overlaid a white layer in Soft Light mode with an opacity of 15%. I often use this method to control contrast, particularly in skies.   Posted: 07/13/2021 07:21:41

Peter thanks for the suggested technique. Never thought of using that technique.   Posted: 07/15/2021 12:12:57

Ed, I have never taken images of abandoned cars. That may change! I would suggest opening the shadows, and increasing the contrast   Posted: 07/14/2021 15:01:40

Hi Ed
You certainly don't come across this everyday well certainly not in the U.K.
The grass growing and engulfing the cars tells a tale of dereliction and neglect, well composed the various positions of the bonnets/hoods adds a non uniform aspect which I like if you were able to move around them I would imagine there were plenty more interesting images to be had.
Well seen and well presented.   Posted: 07/14/2021 16:21:48

Interesting view with so many cars in a single view. Most images that I have seen are of single abandoned vehicles rusting away. Unusual that yours all seem to be the same brand and decade of manufacture.   Posted: 07/16/2021 13:17:02

Hi Ed. I really like your image. Old, abandoned, discarded and forgotten things are favorite subjects for me. Nice composition and the sky is amazing. I do agree with Paul and I like his edit.   Posted: 07/21/2021 20:40:40
