About the Image(s)
This image was taken at the chateau while in France last June. Just walking around the compound grounds one morning this window caught my eye. A CSC camera with an 18-400 lens @ 18mm, F4, ISO 200. In post camera processing, a B/W adjustment layer was used to convert to mono, selective burning and dodging, sharpened, a slight vignette and added 3 pixel grey stroke and called it done.

Ella - your composition is spot on with the window and the superb reflection nicely held in on both sides. A good range of tones and textures and the circular objects at the base are a bonus and strengthen the image IMO.   Posted: 10/12/2024 10:20:40

Ella, I love this image since I am a great fan of reflections.
reflection beautifully captured and processed. The dark on both sides and the bottom of the frame draws my eye directly to the reflection. Well seen.   Posted: 10/13/2024 19:42:31

Ella.
I enjoy the overall composition of this image and the natural framing of the window by the branches and leave. The reflection in the image is very inviting and draws the viewer in to try and see more of what is going on in the reflection. great use of contrast in the image to focus attention on the reflection. Hi Ella
So well spotted I love the vine on the left and branch and leafs on the right that hold the eye into the main subject that fabulous window which is acting as a mirror you stood in exactly the right place not only for the composition but to ensure the photographers reflection did not become part of the reflection not an easy thing to achieve.
I love it.   Posted: 10/15/2024 19:58:42
