It is an interesting combination of the two birds. I like the image still more after giving a little color to the background surrounding the birds. I may have overdone it however.   Posted: 06/03/2021 15:27:39

This is a great capture of parent and chick. I, too, felt the colors could be improved. In LR I warmed up the colors and darkened the browns in the background.   Posted: 06/03/2021 15:54:49

I haven't been fortunate enough to get a photo of a Wood Stork yet, congrats on a nice image.
Trying to get the exposure correct on a white bird without loosing background details can be a challenge and here it is compounded by the dark head of the Stork. I would lower the brightness of the leave in the upper left and round the head so they don't over power the darker head.
One question about your choice of lens, 90mm is a little on the short side for most wildlife.   Posted: 06/04/2021 13:07:26

Thank you
Wakodahatchee Wetlands is full of Woodstork nests this season Woodstorks have made a comeback so they are no longer endangered These nests are helping add to the population
I took the 90 mm because I am learning to use my 90 mm lens On the Sony a6400 this is equivalent to 135 mm
The nests are very close to the walkway About fifteen feet at some points
I plan to go back with my Sony 55-210 mm lens which is equivalent to 82.5-315 mm   Posted: 06/04/2021 13:25:20

Good subject and composition. Think the comments comments cover the range of improvements and look forward to your next session with the same or similar photos.   Posted: 06/06/2021 13:11:51

Excellent shot Judy! I like Robert and Dorenda's effort to add color to the photograph. in my view, a lot of life is added with the color. However, Dorinda's enhancement of the brown has altered the look of the woodstork's head which is generally just black and white. It might have been masked out of the color enhancement.   Posted: 06/10/2021 15:10:11

Great capture! I agree with Robert's suggestion. I would add a little color to the background because you start lose the larger birds head in the background because it blends with the grey leaves.   Posted: 06/11/2021 12:33:07
