About the Image(s)
The photo was take a few years ago while I was walking around one of our local Flea markets, you know the kind of place, where every mans junk is someone else’s treasure. Well I went into one of the larger places and came face to face with this statue of Joseph and Jesus covered in $1 plastic rosaries. I was like wow there has to have some kind of social statement in it.I have redone the edit on this photo a ton of times trying to get the right mood for it and would love to have everyone take on it.
Camera was a Canon T6 Rebel with the 18-55 mm kit lens.

Nice sharp capture of the little statue Great for a memory and story of the flea market For a fine art entry I would isolate the statue more from its background and blur and darken some of the backgroundAlso the bright spots on the statue's face and lower cloak need to be toned down I have attached an image showing this   Posted: 06/04/2021 21:44:22

Thank you 😊 I guess I was so focused on retaining the environmental aspect that I did consider taking it that dark. But this looks good.   Posted: 06/05/2021 14:43:06

A very interesting subject. I do agree that increased background blur is the way to go. We still need to be able to see the background items, but both Judy and Leonids versions draw our attention to the central subject better.   Posted: 06/05/2021 16:35:31

I agree, I like their take on it with a fresh set of eyes   Posted: 06/05/2021 17:02:11

I have nothing constructive to add to the comments of others. The highlights on the right hand side of the figure are somewhat distracting. I like Judy's suggestions.   Posted: 06/10/2021 15:17:52

I love find like that! One of my favorite shots was at flea market where I captured an old tv. I agree with Judy's suggestion. I think you need to darken the background a little and really make the statue pop out, because the colors on the statue are very similar to those in the background.   Posted: 06/11/2021 12:35:10
