I captured this fox squirrel enjoying a bit of lunch. It was late afternoon and the squirrel was slightly backlit, so I pushed my post process to emphasize the high lites. The image was tightly cropped so I have included the SOC jpg.
Canon R6, 500mm Sigma f4 with a 1.4x teleconverter shot wide-open @ 1/160, iso 400.

This is a delightful image of the squirrel. The eyes are sharp, there is good detail in its fur, great pose with a bit of food between its paws. Some people might consider the yellow green plant in the background to be too bright, but I like the dash of color it adds to the image. Great job! Posted: 03/08/2025 16:32:09
Thank you, I debated for a while on that plant's brightness before leaving it like that. I felt like it matches the backlit feel of the image and helped to make the subject stand out
