About the Image(s)
When the weather is nasty and cold in Nebraska, I like to set up water drop photography in my basement. This last January, after about a thousand bad shots, I finally got this one that was kind of fun. Tripod. flash, f11, 1/60 sec.,ISO 400.

Hi Karen, firstly congratulations on being selected for the members showcase image - great shot.
I have not tried water drop pictures so I admire they effort to undertake this. I like the picture and the composition. My only point would be to get rid of, clone out those couple of areas of burnt out white on the centre line of your image. I found once I had seen them my eye kept being drawn to them.   Posted: 05/12/2023 14:51:49

"Wowzer" what a great image! Love everything about it, and specially the colours. Have seen quite a few water drop photos, and this one ranks right up there. Having seen the process on YouTube, I also admire your patience in making this image!   Posted: 05/13/2023 19:29:29

Karen, this is a very nice water drop. Yes, I bet you did go thru a thousand attempts. I like the color and the reflection and shape of the umbrella. You captured something that viewers do not see. Well done.   Posted: 05/17/2023 13:47:10

Excellent especially with the reflection and shape. I am not sure I would have your patience, but it paid off. I assume you have to use flash for these. In any case, it is nice to have such projects for bad weather. Well done.   Posted: 05/19/2023 15:37:32

Wow, other worldly. So cool. I'm guessing the drop was red, falling into neutral colored water, and rebounding thin and diluted. Agree with Bob, this is a privileged view of an event we otherwise cannot see. Nice job.   Posted: 05/19/2023 21:14:16
