About the Image(s)

This is an old picture as indicated by the fact I took it with a Nikon D200 and 18-200VR lens. I use Olympus gear 99.9% of the time now. The photo settings were: SS 1/750, f 10 and ISO 320. I took it somewhere in CA in March 2008. After being in this group for so long, it is hard to remember what I have used before without going through a lot of papers. I always appreciate your comments.

Great contrast of red dirt and colorful wild flowers. Nice capture.

Beautiful scene, not sure I would change anything. Love the contrast of the colors, nice dramatic sky with the texture.   Posted: 11/10/2021 23:26:06

Old is still fine with me. Looks like this is somewhat of a dessert location and the rains brought out these beautiful colors against the dark rocks and very nice sky. Judy, the only thing I would change is "Flip Horizontal" as I believe the flow of the yellow-violet-dark rocks and sky makes for a better composition that you couldn't of done on location. What do you think?   Posted: 11/12/2021 10:16:28

I like this landscape picture quite a lot. For me it celebrates the beauty of this particular area. It's the feast for my eyes as they travel around and through this image. So much to see and enjoy. I sense a titch of softness in the picture, not tack-sharp, but I think it works well with the scene. I do agree with Bob re: flipping.
My only other suggestion (minor) to slightly darken 3 or 4 areas in the foreground that draw the eye.   Posted: 11/13/2021 11:46:45

Nice composition and the yellow flowers really grab the eye, before exploring the picture further. There is plenty of interest and the sky is good too. I think I agree with Bob and prefer his flipped version.   Posted: 11/23/2021 01:00:35
