About the Image(s)

I took this photo at a local lake park here in Lincoln, Nebraska. I had heard some ducks making noise as I rounded the bend of the lake. I ducked between some trees to see this one which was splashing around and flapping her wings. I had my camera in continuous mode so I just held down the shutter and got around ten shots. This one made me chuckle because she seemed to be directing a choir.

Super light on the head and neck of the duck and beautifully sharp. The blur on the wings certainly fits in with your description and it made me laugh as well. Stands out well from the neutral background as well.   Posted: 05/09/2021 11:14:09

Karen you captured the peak of action and the beautiful colors of this duck. I like the fact that you captured a good catch light in her eye and a non distracting background. You did a great job and prove that it's best to be always prepared for action. Well done.   Posted: 05/09/2021 15:27:38

I think you're building an insurmountable lead as the 2021 DD29 Photographer of the year. Love the Title, nice composition, terrific colors, motion, water droplets. There's nothing I'd change.   Posted: 05/10/2021 14:44:00

Fantastic image with great action, light and composition. You keep outdoing yourself! I assume the white dots in the water are reflections of some kind. You could remove them, but they may tell the story--I am no nature expert! Well done!   Posted: 05/13/2021 16:19:34
