About the Image(s)

This photo is from a weekend trip to La Crosse WI with the Wisconsin Chapter of PSA. I saw this farm machinery glowing in the sun and it caught my eye. Took several pictures of it and not sure what to do to it in post processing. Tech info: 1/640, f/7.1, ISO 250

I like both images. I do prefer the horizontal one. It is such an interesting piece. I think you could try a small crop from the right and bottom (not so much grass). I think it is well done.   Posted: 06/15/2022 12:41:10

I like this very much. I agree with maybe cropping out a small about of the grass. The colors are wonderful.   Posted: 06/19/2022 10:05:33

I like both images. Shooting this piece of farm equipment I find a challenge, but fun. If you are wanting suggestions, I suggest a slight crop at the top and both sides, as well as a lowering of the whites just a tad. They appear to be overexposed a notch or two? I like the movement in the secondary shot. I would have a tendency to keep the yellow dandies in the foreground of the main image, and perhaps a heavy top crop, creating a pano?? Lovely colors!   Posted: 06/19/2022 11:03:00

I am always intrigued by photos of machinery, and I would not have passed up this opportunity either. My personal preference is for less saturation, but I realize that others consider the vibrance a plus. Otherwise, I like it.

What an interesting piece of machinery!
All good suggestions above, depending on what you want your final image to be.   Posted: 06/26/2022 20:12:41
