Lovely Lade by Steve Jacobs

May 2022 - Lovely Lade

About the Image(s)

This image was taken in St Louis, Mo with the Wheel lights in the background at Union Stations, during Shutterfest 2022.

In LR I cropped the image, lowered the contrast, and exposure on the back ground and added a vignette.

It was a very cool evening

Capturing a poignant moment in time. Well captured though I find the hair across her cheek a bit distracting, could you remove it?   Posted: 05/13/2022 16:21:22

Thank you for the comments. I agree with the hair, although at the time I left it there as a reminder of hoe windy and cold it was. Here is one I have worked on a bit,   Posted: 05/19/2022 08:45:03

Looks great Steve. It still reads cold and windy.   Posted: 05/19/2022 09:54:26

Hi, Steve,

Lovely image, lovely lady, great color.

I think you missed focus by just a tad, and I think Deb is right that there are a couple of stray hairs that could be eliminated.   Posted: 05/13/2022 21:43:06

Yes the focus is off just a tad. I can still count the number of eye lashes so... I have worked on the hair, Thanks for taking the time to view and comment.   Posted: 05/19/2022 08:46:52

What a lovely pose and colors. I agree about the hair removal, but find my eye drawn to the very white bit of clothing just beneath the chin. My suggestion would be to tone down the white a little, remove the hair...........then it would be perfect. Very nice close-up portrait!   Posted: 05/14/2022 06:20:45

Wanda,
Thank you for your kind words, blond hair on light skin not easy to find. Had to put it on my big screen.   Posted: 05/19/2022 08:51:44

A great pose and I agree with the others about removing the stray piece of hair. I also agree with the comment about toning down the white clothing under her chin. Then my eye would go straight to her eye and face.   Posted: 05/18/2022 16:08:33

Thanks Kathy. I will admit I like the hair and the natural look it gives the image.   Posted: 05/19/2022 08:53:33
