About the Image(s)

This was photographed on Christmas Eve 2018 in Paris. After a long day of traveling, we decided to go for a walk and see the city at night. This was shot with a 24mm lens so there was the typical wide angle effect that needed to be corrected. The other corrections were for highlights and shadows. Then I brought it into PS, removed some bright lights that I found distracting and blended in a new moon to replace the big white dot.

VEry well done in your processing and I like the new moon. The Louvre looks like a diamond in the lights, is that the silhouette of a person in front? I would appreciate a little bit mor light from the moon and on the surrounding buildings.   Posted: 05/11/2023 16:06:11

OIC - one of those table umbrellas! Aha. I'd clone it out with the sign next to it. Your preferences.   Posted: 05/12/2023 13:38:43

Whoa. Fun image. Excellent clarity, great composition and mood.
The lighting seems to reflect an inverse triangle mirroring the buildings triangular form.
I love everything about this photo.   Posted: 05/22/2023 07:52:44

A very attractive image of Paris by night. I would tone down the lights on the buildings on the left and right a bit. I like to moon in the original image.   Posted: 05/22/2023 12:25:15

Taken at the right time in the evening when there was still some light in the sky. I love the way that your replacement moon is peeping through the clouds. The exposure on the buildings is very good, it conveys the sense of evening revealing the architectural detail without making them look too bright.   Posted: 05/23/2023 01:35:58

Great shot and composition. So many lines and shapes makes it really interesting to look at.
Dome on the right looks like a head peeping over the building!   Posted: 05/24/2023 08:24:45
