About the Image(s)

This is one of the photographs I took while in the Palouse in Eastern
Washington State in August. What says Americana more than this image. This
was taken with my Sony A6300 at 21mm (crop sensor) F16.

To me this is a simple but very effective image. I like the gentle green and brown tones of the landscape, and the colour of the barn goes well with them. The flag hanging down makes a very strong centre of attention, which says USA quite clearly. I would be inclined to se if cloning out the coloured objects in the barn opening improves the image, as I feel that the white of the shelf is potential distraction.   Posted: 09/02/2021 12:25:14

Aptly titled. I checked to make sure it wasn't hanging in the distress mode, which is upside down. This is a shot with beautiful lines, and the sky is a perfect graduated blue. I disagree with Jon, barns are always full of stuff, and that is just my realism. It would look weird to have an empty barn. Maybe the compromise is to darken it a bit so the white doesn't distract. This has wonderful colors and tones of Autumn. Welcome to the neighborhood (I'm from Western Washington, but we get to the Palouse regularly).
