About the Image(s)
We've just come back from an amazing trip to Kenya. These elephants were shot on the Massai Mara at a considerable distance but it shows the openness of the plains.

Hi Mervyn, that must have been an exciting trip! I think that you have captured the slow deliberate movement of the adults perfectly, and the little one who seems to have stopped on his tracks completes the trio beautifully. - I wonder if cropping the image more towards panorama format might emphasize their travel through the frame without taking away the sense of the vast open savannah?   Posted: 09/04/2023 14:00:54
Very nice trio. Looks like a good candidate for mono too. Did they ever get close enough to isolate the little one?   Posted: 09/04/2023 14:39:43
Not this one but did get close to many others. Watch this space in the future!   Posted: 09/07/2023 14:29:52
A lovely wildlife image. Three elephants with the smallest one at the back is a good setting. The colors of the elephants and the background are analogous, creating a peaceful environment. I can see that the grasses are short, time for the animals to migrate for food. Looking forward to your photos from the trip.   Posted: 09/07/2023 23:32:12
A nice image! Agree with Bob that is looks like a perfect candidate for mono as there is not much color information anyway. I like the composition. By having the biggest elephant in the middle (actually a bit to the left) the image feels balanced.   Posted: 09/11/2023 22:58:08
A nice picture showing the elephants' behavior. They say that it's best to have an odd number of subjects, and you have them, in different sizes. You left enough space for the animals to walk in. The muted colors are a plus. My comment is that I find the elephants too centered vertically. It looks as if you cropped the original, in which case I would have brought them to the lower third and left more space at the top.   Posted: 09/19/2023 17:10:20
