About the Image(s)

This photo was taken recently inside a building for exhibition of modern arts. I went upstairs and waited for someone appearing at the lowest level and took the shot. A wide angle lens was used. I have made a B&W conversion but I like the original color image more.

What a stunning image! In browsing through the thumbnails of all the groups' images this month, your image jumped right out at me. It looked like an insect larva at first glance. Beautiful complementary colors and composition. Where was this taken more specifically, if I may ask?   Posted: 10/09/2021 06:28:59

Thank you very much! I have used a Nikon Z6, fisheye lens 8-15 at 11, f 5.6, shutter speed 1/40 sec. and iso 2000.   Posted: 10/10/2021 09:16:52

Tony, it is a fabulous shot. I like both images very much. There is nothing I would change but very tiny things in the color version: try removing the small lamps in the curved light, and the shadow of a window (?) In the upper right corner. All nitpicks, but they do not seem to stand out in the BW the same way as in the color. The person at the bottom is very neat!   Posted: 10/10/2021 15:16:12

Tony, as I was going through all the groups' photos, yours caught my eye. I think you have a winning image here! Nicely composed and beautifully edited. The colors are vibrant and well balanced. The monochrome version is also very nice, but I agree with you that the color version wins out. Nicely done!   Posted: 10/11/2021 16:18:56

While the B&W is a nice option, the color is superior due to the color impact. This is marvelous.   Posted: 10/13/2021 09:56:10

I don't have much to add to the acclaim of others in our and from other groups. Composition and colors are impressive, and I strongly prefer the color to the B&W version. Not sure that you need the person at the bottom, but that was you decision. I agree with Belinda to get rid of the black triangle on the top right corner.   Posted: 10/13/2021 17:31:04

Tony. this is truly a wow image. Spiral stairs always make good subjects but often the lighting is not conducive. Here everything works in your favor and the complimentary colors blue and orange are superb. Well done on a great image.   Posted: 10/14/2021 13:11:32
