About the Image(s)

I'm looking for an image with the subject "Minimalist Photography." My first question is whether you think this photo fits the theme; and the second is about your reaction to the picture. It is a close-up of a propeller set as commemoration in downtown Wismar, a city on the Baltic Sea in Germany. This is one of several shots I took as abstracts. Beyond cropping and a slight rotation, the only post-processing was to clone out some distracting words on the grey circle at the top. Technical specifications: 120mm. lens, 1/250 sec. at f/8.0, ISO 400, hand-held.

Definitely minimalist to me. Great colors and it makes the viewer wonder what it is, especially with the small silver pin in the gray. Scratches along the edge only give a clue that it is some sort of metal. The only area I would adjust is the right lower corner. I would try and make it match the left.   Posted: 09/05/2021 17:18:12

It sure does fit your category of minimalist. But I find it too symmetrical. I would prefer a crop on one of the sides.   Posted: 09/10/2021 13:24:46
