About the Image(s)
I took this today through the window of the coffee shop with my iPhone. I was struck by the clear blue sky backdrop of the ornate building with its ornate stepped chimneys left and right framing the central sign proclaiming this as the "H C Laack Block." It was a very bright clear morning so the camera settings were f/1.8 and 1/3,472 sec. From where I was sitting, the building was at a slight angle receding to the left. In Photoshop I cropped and corrected the lines to be level, adjusted the perspective to correct the keystoning, and adjusted the lighting to correct the blue to what I had seen.

A wonderful architectural shot with good color, lighting, and composition. The symmetry is great. It delivers a feel of building from many years ago.   Posted: 05/19/2023 09:35:51
I love architectural photographs in general and this one in particular. I always wonder about how things would look in B & W. So...I converted it, filtered in as a faux infrared as well. Plus I played with the vertical tilt just a bit. Not sure any of this is a positive change, but I just wanted to see.

Hi, Audrey, What is the history of this building? The image is sharp and colors are strong.   Posted: 05/29/2023 11:16:38
