About the Image(s)

This year the Chesapeake Bay Foundation is celebrating its 50th Anniversary. To celebrate they are sponsoring boat rides on the Bay to demonstrate what they do to improve the Bay. On the cruse we learned about the roll of the oyster in maintain the water quality in the bay as well as being a source of food. In the photo the crew is emptying the dredge basket. We then look at what we collected, oysters and all the little creatures that cohabitate with them, and discussed the importance of each to life in the Bay. Taken hand held at f4.0, 1/125 sec, ISO 160, with 24 -105 lens at 36 mm.

Great shot. I love the way there is blur with the oysters being dumped but that the figures are crystal clear. The red shirt on the left and the hair on the right might be a bit distracting. I wonder if you could photoshop them out. Maybe not. Regardless I like this...and as a Virginia...am very happy that the health of the Bay is being improved.   Posted: 05/19/2023 11:40:58

I agree with Bollin's comments - except I'm not a Virginian! Toning down the red a bit might work.   Posted: 05/20/2023 03:23:15

hi, Eric, I agree about the red shirt and the hair. What is that white line on the face of the man on the right? This is a nice sharp PJ image.   Posted: 05/29/2023 11:27:48

Thai is a artifact from my attempt at masking. I am having problems with getting skin tone right. I will keep trying.   Posted: 05/29/2023 11:53:47
