About the Image(s)
I'd spent an hour or two taking pictures of this young lady in an interesting part of town, then accompanied her to the tram stop. I noticed the interesting lead-in line and quality of light in the shade, which coupled with the striking colour of her coat and her pleasant smile made for a nice shot. I liked the un-posed look of the image.
I shot wide open (f/1.8) with an 85mm lens (on a Nikon Z6), under exposing by 2/3 stop to increase the saturation. Little post processing - basically just a clean up and crop.

A lovely lady. you followed the rule of thirds. Composition and colors are good. The blurs of outside the window and down the hallway are ok however, I am distracted by the out of focus vent, with the inside plant in focus.   Posted: 09/14/2021 12:21:58

It does look a little strange, now that you mention it. In fact the branch was some way behind the metalwork - being more in focus/sharper than the metalwork some of it is visible through the blur. Thanks for the comment - I hadn't noticed it.   Posted: 09/15/2021 03:11:10

Very nice image and this crop really enhances your vision, I think.   Posted: 09/24/2021 16:01:45

Great color and light. I think the portrait orientation is a stronger image, but it would be stronger if her feet were included. Since the rest of the image is bright I would add a vignette.   Posted: 09/17/2021 10:22:56
