About the Image(s)

This was taken with the Canon Digital Rebel XT at Aman State Park in Michigan. It is one of the earliest of the spring flowers in the Midwest. I used my 180mm Macro lens set at ISO 100, f/10, and 1/40 sec. In Photoshop I cropped and corrected a slight yellow cast to the background.

The flowers are lovely. I would suggest that you should run the image through De-noise and Sharpen, I would remove the flower behind the green leaf or darken it(between the flowers at the center) , as well as the flower at the bottom on the left side. This is what I came up with.   Posted: 07/10/2021 10:41:38

Indeed, it is a lovely flower. It is a strong composition with well balance image - a triangular flower layout. The main subject is sharp and the colors are brilliant. I concur with Stuart, the bright spots in background are distracting and could be stamp out. By the way, I just find out that exactly same flower and same title were presented by Dick States (Study Group 06 ). What a coincident !   Posted: 07/19/2021 19:36:18

Pretty flower and I like the composition. I agree with Stuarts adjustments they help focus the eye on the flowers. I also would experiment with burning down some of brightness in the background especially the top left corner.   Posted: 07/23/2021 15:50:06
