About the Image(s)

Spring has been wonderful here with all the beautiful flowers blooming. This rose is in the flower bed across the street; at my son's home.

Taken with my great cellphone on 4-15-21 and opened up in Snapseed.>Looks, didn't change anything. Tools>crop, healing brush to a few spots where the white brick showed too bright, vignette-to darken around the edges, frame. Saved and opened in APS-C6 to resize, and cloned out a dark bud on the window blind. Hope you all are enjoying a beautiful Spring where ever you are.

A very nice image of a rose. I would suggest you crop off some
from the top, just below the bud. This would have your eye going directly to the rose. I also cropped a little from the bottom. our border around the image is to wide. I use 3pix as my width. see picture below. I also but the image through Topaz DeNoise and Topaz Sharpen   Posted: 05/09/2021 11:36:18

The bright colors have a lot of impact. I agree with Stuart in his crop suggestion.   Posted: 05/19/2021 22:22:31

Great image with nice color and light. The composition is nice but I agree with Stuart with the cropping. The sharpening and noise reduction softened the colors a bit. Not sure I would do that. I would try a vignette on the brick areas to darken the a bit.   Posted: 05/20/2021 11:18:03

This brings back memories of the "Peace" roses my dad grew in New Orleans when it was a new variety and always won recognition when he exhibited them at flower shows. I always loved the pink and yellow of the petals and wondered how nature could make one petal have two such different colors. I think you captured it beautifully. I do agree with the suggested crop, though I wish the bud could still be included because it shows off the striking colors so well.   Posted: 05/21/2021 19:39:49
