About the Image(s)

This was taken in May of 2019 on our Anniversary while at Brookgreen Gardens near our house. Obviously a slight amount of texture has been added Emoji We just had a 30"X30" canvas made from this and it looks great. Didn't realize when having it done that it was taken on our anniversary, so that makes it even more special.

Tech Stuff: Canon 70D 18-135 lens @ 135mm 1/125sec f/5.6 Iso 100 Aperture Priority

Indeed, very engaging art within the subgenera of "Conceptual Photography", and some may place it within the realm of graphic arts.

Well done!   Posted: 05/04/2023 11:33:39

... on further contemplation of this image ... the work really imbues the aesthetics we enjoy in Mixed Media Paintings.   Posted: 05/08/2023 07:27:06

It us a beautiful image. I did note, however, that there was a spot where the background was almost "attached" to the flower, so I made an attempt to give the background a little edge. It does change the overall look a bit, but I kind of like the result. Your thoughts?   Posted: 05/05/2023 11:21:11

Even though I do see some areas that I could have blended the texture a little more, I feel that by using a light texture over the flower, you eyes will still follow the continuity of the line as compared to the darker version you have created which to me chunks out sections of the flower casing. So I will stick with mine, but thank you very much for your attempt. It was nice that you took the time.   Posted: 05/08/2023 13:01:54

Nice decorative artwork, surely for the wall. What is specially like is the merging of the flower with he background color. The tones are somehow compensating each other.   Posted: 05/11/2023 20:46:16

A lovely piece of work. I like how the colours in the texture complement those in the flower. For me I think I would have positioned the flower to the right (as in the original image) rather than the left.   Posted: 05/12/2023 02:36:33

Very thought-provoking, Fred. The black squiggles of the background I feel are pulling too much focus, so I removed them. Thoughts?   Posted: 05/27/2023 11:04:17
