About the Image(s)

This photo was taken on a bright Sunday near noon. The waterfall is in Mauritius, at a nature park called "Vallee des Couleurs", in the southern part of the island. I was in front of the waterfall and the sun was up at the top. There were trees all around. The camera was fixed to a wooden post (I had no tripod with me!). The location was a bit dark as there were trees everywhere. Camera: Nikon D750 Lens: Nikor 28-300mm at 34mm; Shutter speed: 1/6 seconds; aperture f/9. Some adjustments were made in Lightroom.

You did a good job of slowing the exposure to create the silky water. You might want to consider lightening the shadows a bit so that more detail is visible.   Posted: 09/08/2021 12:44:38

Gaetan This is a beautiful photo. You have taken this with relatively low shutter speed even without the tripod.

Good editing to improve the photo quality from the original.

I find the vegetation on the top of the waterfall a bit brighter which takes my eye straight away.   Posted: 09/12/2021 00:21:19

This is a beautiful photograph. I would crop half of the brightly lit vegetation above the falls. On my computer the shadows look just right.   Posted: 09/13/2021 13:26:04

Following the above comments, I used the Adjustment brush of Lightroom to darken the upper part of the photo. A new version is attached.   Posted: 09/14/2021 07:28:12
