DUTCH IRIS by Frank Kennedy, EPSA

October 2024 - DUTCH IRIS

About the Image(s)

Again I have used Focus stacking to compose this image. As per normal I have used an Olympus OM1 camera and macro lens. In this case I used Aperture Priority and F4.

i find these amazing, crisp details fascinating and the level of contrast bold but very pleasing. To my eye, the bokeh effect of in the background is soothing and adds a sense of depth to the image. The overlapping petals of these Iris twins create such an interesting pattern which holds my attention. To me, this is a beautiful image!   Posted: 10/08/2024 14:09:27

Frank, the detail in this image is excellent. I agree with Charissa's comments. I've done very little with focus stacking. This images shows how effective that can be. I expect you can use shorter shutter speeds to compromise motion blur....   Posted: 10/16/2024 14:44:08
