About the Image(s)
Earlier this season our club had a competition "Environmental Concerns". This image was taken in 2011 in the US, and the sheer scale of the mineworks was amazing.
Camera- Canon EOS 600D, 40-500mm f4.6 lens at 50mm.

Good shot, it shows the large scale of this mining operation with the three trucks. Good leading line and having a bit of blue sky helps with orientation and balance. There may be some detail loss on the rock surfaces. With a scene like this, it may be difficult to decide which direction to shoot, do I want a shot like this or one looking more down into the pit?   Posted: 06/06/2022 08:50:02

great story telling photo. The three trucks adds to the story.
Good leading lines. I like the different shades of rock. I would not change anything. Well seen and well done.   Posted: 06/14/2022 18:22:01

This photo has amazing scale. It did bring to mind the roads in Moab that we rode in a jeep down into the gorge at the Dead Horse Point Nat Park Utah. It was a deep inclined dirt rode with turns and open sides but it wasn't as near the size of your photo   Posted: 06/29/2022 18:26:39
