Great photo. I would crop the top to the first cloud and a drop off the left side. The sun reflection on the water is so beautiful. Well seen.   Posted: 11/17/2021 19:35:20

Hi Julia,
Excellent sunrise image. I'm afraid the shore birds escape me, but I am getting old. Very sharp, and the colors are extraordinary. I like that you have embraced the brightness of the sun and didn't try to lower the highlights. Sometimes it is effective to let light blow out, as in a sunrise/sunset image. All you end up with is a muddy gray. I like the curve of the beach, which leads us into the sunrise. I tried to see if the sky could be selected and flipped in LR 2022 but couldn't. I cropped it but I think it could be stronger if the sky were flipped and then cropped. Just a suggestion for a WOW image.   Posted: 11/21/2021 14:46:43

Never thought of flipping the sky. Great idea!   Posted: 11/23/2021 18:45:06

GREAT ocean scene taken at a primo time...If it were mine I would have cropped a bit more off the top of the sky to just above the clouds, making it a strong panoramic. Would have been nice to have had a few birds flying away in the sky, but, if you have any try pasting them in....   Posted: 11/23/2021 22:32:06

Thanks for the helpful comments - I do agree that the crop is so much better!   Posted: 11/26/2021 21:41:32

Lovely photo perfect colors orange and blue. great reflections. Do not think flipping the sky would work. It would throw off all the lighting and reflections. Your image is just right. You have three separate bans which works best.
You could take a brush and dodge a soft swipe across the top to give it a slight deepened shadow to balance the strength in the lower portion of the image/or not.   Posted: 11/27/2021 16:37:08

Well done for capturing sunrise - not something we tend to do - early mornings are anathema!

I would be inclined to crop the sky.   Posted: 11/29/2021 14:36:07
