About the Image(s)

This photo was taken recently at the Jacksonville Zoo. I was trying out a new lens.
It was taken with the Nikon Z7 camera and Nikon 70-200 Lens in Aperture mode at 200 mm 1/250 ISO 80 F2.8. the bird was between to slates of a fence and was moving. took several shots here is one more version. zI like the texture of the feathers in one and the close-up of the eye in the other.

Very sharp and I like the crop. The eyes and feathers are so sharp - very nice!   Posted: 07/23/2021 21:00:31

I like the Blue Heron's look. I would crop more off the bottom as the head and its feathers are very sharp and the eyes also. Well seen.   Posted: 07/24/2021 10:06:25

If this image were mine I might try darkening the lower right side feathers more...as they aren't as sharp as those above them...I don't see the connection between the image shown and the original in any form of composition....I actually prefer the original in many ways.   Posted: 07/28/2021 15:47:02

Eye and beak are very sharp, but the rest of the image is not in focus. A heavy crop would benefit the image.
