About the Image(s)
I enjoy seeking out shapes and patterns that one can find by playing around with images of the ordinary - and mostly, the not so ordinary - things one comes across almost every day. For me this is especially true when it concerns technology and one area where this the exotic becomes familiar is at air shows. Yes, I love getting shots of the planes in flight, but a lot of the time I am just as happy to turn around and take pics of the aircraft on static display, and because they are just that - static - I will go in to the various areas of the plane to come up with the more abstract looks. This picture was of the tail end of the USAF A-10 Thunderbolt ll, affectionately referred to as the Warthog. It struck me that it looked like some kind of weird insect. Taken at the Homestead Air Show with a Nikon D500 and 70-300mm lens. Converted to black and white in Photoshop.
