About the Image(s)
This image is from the 2014 Albuquerque PSA Conference. My challenge was simply to rearrange the balloons in a more pleasing composition. I first flipped the image horizontally and then selected and replaced the smaller balloons closer to the larger balloon. I left the little mountain at the bottom, partially for a bit of realism and to fill negative space.

I love balloons and your shot is very interesting. My recommendation would be to delete the small balloon on the left--it's distracting to me. I know having an odd number is more pleasing and if that is desired I'd also remove the top balloon to wind up with three. I would also significantly increase the brightness and saturation of the balloons to make them pop.   Posted: 11/12/2023 10:33:03
I like your choice of subject. I have balloon photos also, but it never crossed my mind to use one for this theme! I do like what you have done to your image, the arrangement and the number of balloons. However, I agree with Al that more brightness and saturation would improve the overall impact.   Posted: 11/18/2023 11:07:01
I agree with Al about removing the small balloon. Most often, two images make the eye go back and forth. Since there is a curved line with your other balloons, the odd-even rule doesn't need to apply here. I also agree with the brightness - or making the balloons "pop" more.   Posted: 11/18/2023 15:39:41
The re-do definitely made the balloons pop. Even though there is an even number of balloons, the 3 small one create more balance with the big one. I am struggling with the little piece of mountain. I'd like to see it with more mountain or none at all.   Posted: 11/28/2023 09:22:17
