About the Image(s)

I attended an air show a while back and had a great time with shooting the variety of planes demonstrated. But the finale really wowed the crowd: an aerial flyby of a WW II P-38 in formation with a new F-22. I decided to make a composite of a top and bottom view. I also decided to leave the sky tint as it was.

Al this is an excellent demonstration of the "old and new" and the background tone is fine. My only suggestion for a more complimentary composition is to have the planes facing each other instead of away from each other, or as a vertical format, top and bottom.   Posted: 11/09/2023 07:00:29

I think your compositing totally works. My only thought is that the planes appear static, and a little blur in the propellers would provide some motion. Nice capture though.

It is a rare catch to see the new and old together like that - nice job. I agree with Peggy regarding the propellers which appear to be stopped. I'm not sure the underside image does much for it though. The one image would have been enough for me.   Posted: 11/18/2023 15:31:28

Interesting composition. You were definitely thinking out of the box on this one. I like the composition as is…flying away from each other. Both perspectives give the viewer more information about the planes. I 'd like to see it with the sky the same color on both and a little blur in the propellers.   Posted: 11/28/2023 09:18:05
