About the Image(s)

This was taken during the Spokane conference a few years ago on a tour to the Palouse. It was overcast mostly, pending rain and very windy.
I worked on the colors, contrast and exposure in Lightroom and then took it to Topaz Sharpen AI to finish it off.

You've definitely improved it, and I like the sunset view. Most images I see of the Palouse are midday with lots of green, so this is a more interesting look. The foreground is especially nicely done I think. It does seem to me to be a little noisy though - particularly the sky.   Posted: 08/04/2022 12:27:54

Thanks Peggy. It actually is a sunrise but the light quickly went away as the rain moved in.
I'll see what I can do about the noise. I wasn't too fond of the sky or hills myself.   Posted: 08/04/2022 12:37:47

Based on your processing, this image gives me the appearance of a scene at dusk. I imagine myself sitting on a porch with a glass of wine and looking at this peaceful scene until daylight is totally gone. It has a nice tone of colors and multiple levels from foreground to background. I would say the entire image is the composition and a keeper as well.   Posted: 08/04/2022 12:38:37

Good job on putting some life into this image. It's just too bad that the light disappeared from you so quickly. The shadows of the rolling hills would certainly have been accented with more sunlight. You did a great job on bringing out the features of this landscape to include enhancing the sunrise.   Posted: 08/06/2022 08:02:48

Thanks Al. It wasn't the best that day. I, too, was hoping for the rolling hills and more sun. Well, have to work with what you get I guess.   Posted: 08/06/2022 11:57:19
