About the Image(s)

My wife and I decided to take a autumn drive in the mountains yesterday to look for changing Aspen. We drove behind Pikes Peak and found the color to be pretty good. Here’s one image from that drive. I didn’t do much to it besides a little cropping and cleanup.

This is a lovely fall scene and colors. It has a nice flow from foreground to background and into the clouds and sky. To avoid the center look, perhaps you can crop a bit from the right side.   Posted: 10/04/2021 10:16:10

Great colors Al, and a V shape as well as the rule of thirds (with the foreground, lines of trees and then the clouds) is also present. On my monitor a couple of the cloud tops appear to be blown out. Overall, a well done landscape.   Posted: 10/08/2021 16:34:44

Very nice fall landscape. You were out for a drive at the right time for sure. The foliage is all solidly colored and not overly saturated, and you have a good natural composition. Well done.

Nice fall colors. I like the original better. To me, it seems to have better color and sharpness. Also, you cropped out the road in the foreground which I feel creates a line that curves around and then runs along the base of the mountains.   Posted: 10/22/2021 11:48:03

Lovely fall color scene! The multiple angles and layers of color with the roundness of the mountains and clouds provide nice impact. I suggest cropping from the lower left to eliminate all of the road.   Posted: 10/24/2021 08:54:22
