About the Image(s)

Sharing this image mostly as a humorous situation.Taken at the Marineland, Florida Aquarium with a Canon 7D Mark II, ISO 200, f6.3 at 500th of a sec. After the basic corrections, I cropped and cloned out the background image of another dolphin. To sharpen, I selected only the dolphin and stoked.

NOTE-the original to this image has been lost so the posted original is similar to what would have been the Final's original.

What a creative shot! Wonderful colors, great composition and story telling. I noticed that you may have missed part of cloning out the second dolphin. There is some grey matter on the water line above this dolphin. It looks like it is top part of the dolphin you removed.   Posted: 09/06/2021 16:30:42

Yes Mike, that may be so, but I think that in trying to fix the shadow, it may spoil the look. At the same time the shadow could gives the impression as a shadow or reflection of this dolphin.   Posted: 09/13/2021 09:33:41

An interesting storytelling image. It looks like the Dolphin is waiting for a fish to be thrown his way. Good sharpness on the dolphin and coloration.   Posted: 09/09/2021 16:39:59

I rather like the original. The dolphin doesn't appear as "static" since he is angling toward the man. Also I like the deeper colors in the original.   Posted: 09/09/2021 18:21:19

Quite a clever shot! The colors are right on. Also, the glass seems to have been remarkably clear and free of reflection. Love the interaction between two different species. I am a little confused (and not for the first time, I might add!) about the original. The lost original must have included the entire man, or else where did you find the "missing" parts of the figure to have been able to include him in the final?   Posted: 09/11/2021 20:18:47

Sorry for any confusion. Apparently and inadvertently, I must have deleted the original image. However, other than some cropping, the original was pretty much of what you see. It is the very next image after the original sample. I never had, nor wanted the full image of the man.   Posted: 09/13/2021 09:29:04

A fun story and capture. I can't believe how clear the glass is and offered a realistic shot. It looks like the man is standing in the water with the dolphin. I like the colors in the finished image and the clarity of both subjects. I am on the fence with the part of the dolphin left in the water above. If it were me, I'd clone it out.   Posted: 09/27/2021 14:17:25
