About the Image(s)

The original picture was taken in Barbados in the Caribbean on the north shore.
The original image was improved by a bit of saturation and contrast.
In Photoshop a box/wall was created and part of the image was blended in by using skew, distort and scale under transform to fit the wall.
I did create a page and again using above controls plus cut and paste, I did add some of the ocean water to the page.
Then I did place the page under the wall and blend it under the wall.
I still have my feet wet.

Mike Interesting and very different. Fun image to work on. Nicely done. I wonder How it would look if the back of the ocean matched glass reflection. Just a crazy thought. I see a lot of flexibility in presentation of this image.   Posted: 08/15/2022 19:25:34

Nice idea. Thinking out of the box.   Posted: 08/22/2022 14:24:09

Your methods to produce interesting cubs or 3-dimensional rectangles or boxes really works well here. Something a little different. I like the way the photo wraps around the box and also somehow flows into the pad under it. The use of the image continuing on the pad and the shadow below it brings this all into an unusual combination that is definitely creative. My only question is the sharpness of the final image. The original in quite blurry and it looks like you may have used that to put your box together. Otherwise, great !   Posted: 08/24/2022 14:04:49

Mike,
I take it back about the blurriness. I have a lot of trouble with my eyes. When I looked closer, it seemed to be sharp. My bad.   Posted: 08/24/2022 14:08:25

So unusual. I love what you have done with your longish exposure image Mike. The water really flows around the image and into the base. A novel idea. How do you think these things up?   Posted: 08/24/2022 15:59:07

Mike, You are to be congratulated in creating such an imaginative and innovative composite image which shows a great deal of technical competence and is to be admired. I particularly like the way that the rectangular box sits in the ocean and the way that you have blurred the lower edges to create the illusion that they are physically below the waterline. I wondered about the different colours of the water in the block and in the ocean; the impact would have been greater if they had been the same, like the transfer of water in the lower left corner of the block. I like the shadow under the flat ocean and the gradient monochrome in the background. Congratulations and well done.   Posted: 08/27/2022 08:00:37

Thanks to all for such comments. I really enjoy creating images and is great when other great photographers appreciate it.
I think I have said it before. To create these images, first I think of the title. Then I jump to create the image.
Of course there is a bit of relation between the choice of title and images taken. This image was created back and my blending skills are still on a 'work in progress'.   Posted: 08/27/2022 11:46:27
